Our Story
Our company was incorporated in 2015 but the roots of our business go back much further with a wealth of experience gained in the electrical design and build sector.
Sean Kavanagh founded SJK in 2015 after spending more than twenty years in the electrical design and build sector. Sean started his career after training as an apprentice electrician at N.G Bailey developed his experience and skills before moving to Sudlows in a more senior role. Since then he has developed SJK as a leading indepedent specialist 9in the sector.
Gary Moran joined the business in 2020 in a senior project management role having previously worked with Sean on a variety of major electrical design and build projects installations during his time at N.G Bailey and Sudlows. His experience includes the successful delivery of large scale commercial and industrial sites ranging from the recent Manchester Town Hall refurbishment to Tier 4 data centres.
Jake Neersoo has been with SJK since we launched back in 2015 and joined as an apprentice. Jake is now a lead member of our team as a supervisor and first aider. Jake continues his professional development with SJK and we predict he will become a significant figure within our business as we continue to grow and expand.
In 2023, SJK relocated to larger bespoke premises in Altrincham to accommodate recent and future growth plans. SJK now employs 8 people and is still growing thanks to our reputation for delivering first-class personal service for our clients who range from principal contractors, property developers and organisations in a variety of sectors.
